Is this an editor or a diagnostic application?
Both capabilities live in one workspace. FCA PROXI Tool edits PROXI / CDA configuration and also scans the vehicle, reads and clears DTCs, shows freeze-frame and topology, and decodes supported EOL rejection reasons. It does not replace OEM software for guided procedures, ECU flashing, calibrations or every manufacturer-specific routine.
Do I need to run PROXI alignment afterward?
No. FCA PROXI Tool prepares and writes an internally consistent configuration, so a separate PROXI alignment pass is not required after write-back. This is a core part of the product workflow, not an additional paid module or external step.
Which adapter do I need?
Use a supported ELM327-compatible adapter or J2534 PassThru device. Newer CAN-FD modules require FD-capable hardware and drivers. Adapter quality, network access and Security Gateway state can affect what is available on a specific vehicle.
Will it work with my model and year?
Main coverage includes Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, Fiat and Alfa Romeo model families, with dedicated modern CAN FD profiles for current Jeep, RAM, Dodge, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Atlantis High platforms. Maserati Grecale M182 / M189 is supported and is not experimental. Experimental coverage applies to Maserati Quattroporte, GranTurismo, GranCabrio and M338, plus Iveco and Ferrari. Ferrari has no named vehicle database, so its configuration work is limited to Advanced HEX Byte Edit mode. See the complete vehicle directory for the exact model and body list.
Does the tool require internet access?
Yes. An active connection is required for license authorization and server-backed CRC / checksum recalculation. Vehicle communication itself still happens through your local adapter.
How does licensing work?
The complete tool costs $500 USD per year. The annual subscription provides 12 months of access, is hardware-bound to one PC and has no per-file or per-VIN fee. Initial activation and setup are handled with you through WhatsApp or Telegram.
